" To survive. To heal. To learn. "

Former French professional international football player, Melissa Plaza also holds a doctorate in sports psychology. During her PHD, she studied the links between gender stereotypes, conscious and unconscious, and sports behaviours of individuals.

After growing from these experiences, she is now committed to transmitting the values that are dear to her to as many people as possible: Individual Freedom and Better Living Together. This knowledge transmission takes place through conferences and trainings and is aimed at different types of groups (companies, communities, schools and sports institutions). Her favorite subjects revolve around questions related to gender equality and team management.

On stage, she shares her unique life journey, based on her past experience as a high-level athlete and her studies, to:

  • Inspire, motivate or unite

  • Shake awareness

  • Cultivate daring acts and create the conditions for success

  • (Re) give meaning

Melissa also offers Mental Coaching for athletes and business leaders to support them in achieving their goals.

Not for girls?

At 8 years old already, Mélissa was convinced: football will save her. While we keep telling her that "football is not for girls", she does not want to hear it: this round sports ball will be her lifeline. As soon as she can, she starts training. At 15, she took her first kicks for women's D1. At 19, the young sportswoman was spotted to join the French under-twenty team and participated in her first World Cup. Despite a path strewn with pitfalls, the dream finally becomes reality ...

TESTIMONIALS:

“Melissa Plaza intervened in the group within the framework of the mixed project that we initiated about 2 years ago. What makes the strength of her interventions is both her personal experience linked to her past as a high-level athlete in a male-based universe and at the same time her reflection on the subject linked to her academic career. The result is an authenticity in the sharing of experience which wins the support of those who have worked with her in the group. However, authenticity is at the root, and more and more, at the adhesion of the teams to any business project. We have therefore necessarily been won over by Mélissa's approach."
