A graduate in journalism and political science, Matthieu Dugal has been a journalist, columnist and host for more than 20 years. Host of several shows on Ici Radio Canada Première, Télé-Québec, TV5, ICI ARTV, ICI EXPLORA and MATV, he has also collaborated as a freelance writer for numerous publications, including Le Devoir, La Presse, Le Soleil, Urbania, Beside and Liberté. Among his recent engagements, we note the digital culture program La Sphère, which he hosted from 2011 to 2018, on Ici Radio-Canada Première, as well as The Hackers series, presented in 2016 on Explora.

Since September 2018, he has hosted the daily techno-scientific program Moteur de recherche on Ici Radio-Canada Première in addition to writing the science / faith column on Pénélope McQuade's program with journalist and host Alain Crevier.

 

In the fall of 2019, he published a book with Cardinal editions, Wiki, Gif & LSD, anecdotal encyclopedia of the Web. For the past 5 years he can also be seen regularly on the international French-speaking program 300 million de critiques, recorded in Paris and broadcast on TV5 Monde.

 

This year, he is participating as host and journalist in the filming of a documentary series on the ethics of artificial intelligence that he helped write and which will be broadcast in 2022 on Ici Radio-Canada Télé. He is also currently writing a book on the popularization of AI for young audiences, which will also be published by a Quebec publisher in 2022.
