STÉPHANE

GRENIER

FOUNDER MENTAL HEALTH INNOVATIONS CONSULTING
ORGANIZATIONAL WELL-BEING SUMMIT, INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER

“To rehumanize our workplaces is to take advantage of the world's largest untapped mental health resource. Our people. "

Stéphane Grenier is a Canadian Forces veteran who retired as a lieutenant colonel following 29 years of service and numerous missions abroad in Cambodia, Haiti, Lebanon, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Rwanda. Confronted with undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following his return from Rwanda, he developed a personal interest in how the Canadian Forces dealt with mental health issues; a mission that he has now been able to extend to the entire Nord-American labor market thanks to his efforts to develop non-clinical mental health interventions as a complement to traditional clinical care.

Throughout his career, Stéphane has been recognized for his transformational management style and praised for his exceptional collaborative and leadership efforts, especially during post-war humanitarian disasters in Rwanda. He was awarded a Meritorious Service Cross and appointed to the Order of Canada by the Governor General of Canada. He has also been awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Guelph and Humber College for his contributions to the field of mental health in the workplace.

His main strengths as a speaker and lecturer remain his unique down-to-earth approach, as well as his ability to combine personal experience with concrete research results to make it a complete and accessible story. It offers an innovative perspective on an often overlooked and poorly understood aspect of individual and societal well-being; that of mental health.
