TOPICS:

All of the following topics can be adapted to various formats, ranging from a traditional keynote to a strategic workshop lasting half a day or a full day.

TOPGRADING – HOW TO BUILD A TEAM OF “A” PLAYERS

Imagine a world where 60 to 80% of your team members are "A-Players." These individuals embody your values, drive productivity, and champion your company culture. They don’t just work for your business—they act as true brand ambassadors. If you had a cloning machine, you’d probably use it to build an army of these high-performing employees !

It might sound ambitious, but it’s absolutely possible when you follow a proven methodology. This workshop will equip you with the tools and strategies to turn this vision into reality.

A-Players do exist—and it’s your job to find them, hire them, and retain them. When your team is made up of top performers, everything in your business becomes easier. And remember: A-Players attract and hire other A-Players, creating a cycle of excellence that will drive your company’s success.

DEVELOP A HIGH PERFORMANCE MINDSET

Recent studies confirmed that habits make up 45% of the actions we take every day. By setting the right habits and the right intentions, we can automatically default to spending (at least) 45% of our day on positioning us for success.

Do we have the right focus and energy? Are we doing everything in our power to avoid distractions? Have we set our vision for the future.

Once you implement this framework in your daily life, results will come fast and furious. Expect to see significant differences in your mindset, productivity and relationships. Embrace change and be ready for the positive results.

UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF PERSONALITY TYPES

Each person is unique. We all carry distinct traits and characteristics that make us special. That’s the beauty of the workplace—a gathering of diverse individuals working toward a common goal.

  • But what happens when you don’t understand your colleagues and communication becomes a challenge?

  • Have you ever found yourself in a situation where, no matter how hard you tried, the person in front of you just didn’t seem to get your message?

There’s a simple solution to this problem: in any conversation, understanding your audience is key.

LEADERSHIP LESSONS: FROM A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TO BUILDING A WORLD-CLASS CULTURE

Great leaders inspire us every day. We see them everywhere—on sports teams, in businesses, at school, and even within our own families. But what makes these leaders so impactful? How do they manage to motivate us, push us to become better versions of ourselves, and give back to their communities at the same time?

As a former board member of EO Canada, past president of EO Montréal, and an entrepreneur who has built a world-class company culture, Shawn shares the invaluable lessons he has learned from his own mentors. Through his experiences, he reveals what it takes to lead with influence, purpose, and impact.

SCALING UP: BRING YOUR COMPANY TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Let’s paint a hypothetical scenario… You and your team are working harder than ever. Everyone is putting in the effort—sometimes even pushing themselves to the limit. Yet, despite all this dedication, your company feels stuck in quicksand. Projects take longer to get off the ground, decisions remain in limbo for too long, and even the simplest tasks seem unnecessarily complicated. Financial performance starts to decline… and you have no idea why or how it happened.

Here’s the alarming part: according to the hundreds of CEOs and business leaders Shawn has worked with over the years, this scenario isn’t hypothetical at all. It’s a very real challenge faced by companies everywhere—one with very real consequences.

The truth is, there’s no secret formula for sustainable, strategic growth. Instead, it’s a set of skills that thousands of business leaders worldwide have mastered—and that can be learned, replicated, and applied. Many of them have done so through Scaling Up.

THE ART OF NEGOCIATION

Did you know that over 57% of employees enter a negotiation without any preparation? The art of negotiation is not reserved for an elite few—it is a skill that can be learned and quickly becomes an essential asset for any organization.

In this dynamic and engaging conference, discover how your teams—whether negotiating with internal or external clients—can maximize their impact during negotiations. Too often, we avoid difficult conversations. Yet, these discussions are crucial to achieving the results your organizations need.

What’s on the agenda?

  • Proven methods to navigate high-stakes negotiations.

  • Key tactics such as "Mirroring," "Tactical Empathy," and "Labeling."

  • The art of using voice, tone, and body language to create a conducive discussion atmosphere.

  • Deciphering the different types of “yes” and mastering the formidable “no.”

  • Transforming reality through "Anchors" and understanding their power.

  • Learning to negotiate hard with the Ackerman model.

Why attend?

This conference goes beyond theory—each concept is backed by scientific data from human biology, psychology, and emotional intelligence. You’ll walk away with tangible tools to transform your negotiation approach and optimize your results.

Get ready to change your perspective and give your team a real strategic advantage.

THE ART OF COMMUNICATION: HOW TO SPEAK WITH IMPACT

In today’s business world, we’re constantly presented with opportunities to speak—whether in small, intimate groups or on a much larger stage. No matter the scale, being an effective communicator is directly tied to business success. How we prepare for each type of presentation is critical in ensuring our message resonates with our audience. More importantly, it’s one of the most powerful ways to shape your journey as an entrepreneur.

Every team member needs to be able to communicate effectively. The human element in business will never disappear. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to strengthen a fundamental skill that is used multiple times every day.

You’ll walk away from this session feeling energized, confident, and equipped—a crucial step toward achieving both your personal and professional goals.

THE TOP 10 TIPS TO MASTERING THE ART OF CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS

Having a difficult conversation is really challenging! It will often cause anxiety and stress. Our natural response is to avoid confrontation, taking the easier route and burying the issue deep down inside. But we know this isn't the answer. Imagine a world where you could use learned skills to not only initiate dialogue, but leave the discussion with a positive outcome for all involved. That is exactly what you will learn during this conference.
